Horizon Project

Projet d'aménagement paysager d'envergure à Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

Horizon Project

That’s what comes to mind when you cross the threshold of the back door; the horizon.

Perched on the banks of the Richelieu River, this imposing residence is as magnificent inside as it is out. The living areas extend wonderfully outwards, thanks to the thoughtful work of the landscape architect. Indeed, in a project like this, the position of the pool becomes the key to success.

Field context

The choice and positioning of the swimming pool is crucial in the context of an elevated typography. In this case, the freestanding pool, made entirely of concrete, is supported by two levels of riprap and low walls. An impressive set of 12 steps leads from the backyard to the pool area perched on the family zone.

The pool area

The pool area, encircled by a glass railing, offers a breathtaking view of the Richelieu River. The use of composite materials in the pool area was a judicious choice by the architect, with the aim of integrating a warm touch that contrasts with the stone elements.

A complete project!

This complete project also included work on the front and side yards, but we have to admit that the backyard steals the show! Whether you’re having coffee at sunrise, or enjoying an aperitif with friends, this design will be part of your precious and unforgettable memories.
